This video is an NBC News report about the new dietary guidelines for eating healthy. Dr. Steve Nissen of the Cleveland Clinic says that the cholesterol that a person consumes in his or her diet only represents about 15 or 20% of the cholesterol that is in the person's blood.
Madelyn Fernstrom, NBC News Health and Nutrition Editor, says that the main point of the guidelines is to get people to eat more fruits and vegetables, eat more fiber and cut down on the consumption of refined sugars.
