Stroke

A stroke is a sudden interruption in the blood supply to the brain. This change in the blood flow can cause damage to the brain and this damage can range from minor to very severe. The effect of a stroke will depend on what part of the brain has been damaged and the severity of the damage. One stroke victim might suffer partial paralysis and memory loss while another may suffer very little as a result of the stroke.
